Yard Sale

August 10th, 11th, 12th

Members and neighbors of St. James donate their gently used items to create a huge yard sale. The church basement is filled as well as the yard. Quality clothing and household treasures are available at very reasonable prices.

This community event is an excellent form of recycling – families are able to pass on items they no longer need and others are able to find clothing and items they do need for their families.

If you have items to donate please call the church office to make arrangements.

Ice Cream Social

Thursday, July 6th, 5 p.m.

St. James Ice Cream Social is an annual event held the first Tuesday of July that has been a huge community event for over 70 years. It takes all of the members' participation to make this event the success that it is. St. James' beautiful country setting gives its guests the opportunity to enjoy the evening with friends and neighbors under a tent on the lawn of the church.

Approximately 800 – 900 people are served a delicious home cooked dinner of ham sandwiches on a homemade pretzel bun, chicken & bbq sandwiches, German and American potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, watermelon, hand dipped ice cream and over 100 different varieties of cakes. The food line is available 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. With affordable prices this is a wonderful family event. Be sure and take your kids or grandchildren to the Fish Pond to “fish” for a prize.

A beautiful handmade quilt is raffled off each year to a happy winner.
